Feria de Abril
SHOES THAT DANCE AT THE APRIL FAIR. AMONG STREETS OF ARDERO, MUSIC PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND AND LAUGHTER THAT LASTS UNTIL DAWN.
A celebration where every step becomes part of the memory.
The April Fair is one of Andalusia's most emblematic celebrations and takes place in Seville one or two weeks after Easter. For several days, the city transforms into a spectacle of light, music, and tradition, with the fairgrounds at its heart. This temporary venue houses hundreds of casetas (tents), both private and public, where Sevillanas are danced and the festive atmosphere is palpable from the very beginning.
The sandy ground, horseback riding, and traditional costumes define the character of the fair during the day, while at night the lanterns and music give it a completely different rhythm. The celebration begins with the lighting ceremony, when thousands of bulbs illuminate the main entrance, transforming it into a space for meeting and tradition where walking, dancing, and sharing are essential parts of the experience.
